Well for a gig to wrap up the season and one hell of a craic , you couldn’t beat the Dinner Dance in the Dunraven last night.
Food was absolutely superb, the band were just excellent and the speeches were kept to an absolute minimum with just a few words from The Pres. (The Bauld Ger), Ger O’ Loughlin from the Domestic games committee and from our esteemed Chairman, Pat Dunnser. A couple of presentations to The Outgoing Mr. & Mrs. President Ger & Betty, and to Head Coach Eoin to wish them well on their new roles and that was it, the crack was up.
With the attendance a full contingent of the first team crew, all the silverware on display and quite a bunch of the rest of us ordinary mortals as hangers-on, we sang danced and had a lash until well into the small hours this morning with a few being carried or dragged up into rooms as I left the premises a few hours into today.
It was one wild night, Online auction is still going on (See the previous Post).
A great way to draw a line under a fantastic season. We’re going to have to do this a hell of a lot more often.
All that remains for this year is the AGM on Wednesday 25th and we can finally pull the pin for a few weeks at least.
There are some items still remaining that we are accepting bids on.
Reserves are marked below, and all bids can be emailed to admin@bruffrfc.com
Bruff RFC won the Munster Senior club of the year award, sponsored by the Irish Examiner at an Award cermony in Thomond Park tonight.
