If you decide to drag yourself out of bed for the 6:00 am kickoff tomorrow morning, why not stay up, get yourself into the shower, make your way to Kilballyowen and relax while enjoying a feast of AIL rugby as BRuff first XV play their first home AIL game of the season when they entertain Galwegians.
With the replay of last years Munster senior cup final coming up in a fortnights time under lights in Thomond Park, Bruff have a nice two home game stretch to prepare so this week and next week’s home games are vitally important.
The first team were came out on the wrong side of their first away match of the season, a tough assignment in Dubarry Park against Buccaneers. However, with the final score reading 17-11 a losing bonus point was picked up, which could be vital as the season progresses. Andrew Cashman scored Bruff’s only try with Tony Cahil tapping over 2 penalties.
North Munster Second’s League
Bruff were at home to Shannon on Mon 3rd Oct in the North Munster Second’s League. Tries from Barry Laffan, Mark Cosgrove and Paddy Clery and a penalty from Barry Enright ensured Bruff finished on a winning scoreline of Bruff 18 – 15 Shannon.

Gleeson League, Young Munster v Bruff, Tom Clifford Park, 12.30.
Please note there are no J1 or u-21 fixtures this weekend.
U17’s travelled to Dubarry Park to play a friendly against the Buchaneers before Bruff began their Ulster Bank League season against Buchaneers in Division 1B. Tries from Shane Doonagh, Gavin Reidy (2), Tom O’Dwyer and 3 conversions and a penalty by David O’Grady left the scoreboard 34- nil to Bruff.
U17’s will be playing another friendly on this Saturday against the Galwegians before the UBL game at Kilballyowen.
