Guest teams are invited to participate over the coming thursday nights as there are always teams available to play extra games. The 3rds made their exit from the Webb Cup with a 14-15 defeat to Old Crescent on Friday night in Killballyowen
Crescent got off to a quick start and were 12-0 up scoring 2 try’s with only 10 minutes gone. Bruff came back into the game and pegged the score back to 12-6 before half time thanks to two long range penalties from the boot of Mark O Connell.
O Connell exchanged penalties with Crescent shortly after half time ensuring a tense finish to the game. Bruff were again on the score board with 15 minutes remaining, Aiden O Sullivan on the end of a well worked backs move for the home team. But Crescent had enough left in the tank to see out the game and go on to meet Richmond in the next Round.
