There was a great turn out for the first blitz of the season which kicked off in Abbeyfeale on Sunday. Three Bruff teams played very even matches against their hosts, teams from Newcastlewest and Presentation. The Bruff teams gave a very good account of themselves and spectators enjoyed some lovely flowing rugby in the sunshine.
All U11 teams will be away next Sunday in Galbally.
Bruff Ladies started off the season with a friendly match against St Mary’s, running out comfortable winners on the day. Niamh Raleigh, Audrey Dempsey, Catherine Quinn, Fiona Neenan, Niamh Gleeson and Katie Lynch all put their names on the scoreboard. Bruff RFC wish all the ladies a successful, enjoyable and injury free season for 2013 – 2014.
