The James Keating Under12 mini rugby memorial tournament takes place on Monday 28th October. This year’s event promises to be exciting with 21 teams participating from all around Munster. Registration for the tournament takes place at 10:30 am sharp with play commencing at 11:00 am.  Come along and support the Bruff teams that are participating in this year’s tournament.

Bruff 2nds won 28-3 v Thomand. Trys from Barry Enright, and two from winger John Mitchell. Barry Enright kicked the rest.

The U18’s 1st league match was this weekend against Young Munsters . Bruff’s strong 1st half performance sealed the narrow win for the lads. Try’s from Anthony Foley(1) & Brian Fanning(2).Paul Downes sending over 2cons & a pen .The h.t.score reading 22-3 .Bruff died away in 2nd half & y.munsters got over the line with 3 Trys & a con leaving Bruff with a 2 point lead in injury time.The lads defended well in the dying mins to hold their lead. F.t. score 20 -22.

Bruff v nenagh. 17-20 Bruff started the scoring with a Declan Bannon penalty, shortly after Cillian Ansboro scored a try. Bannon missed the conversion. Nenagh responded with two penalty’s and an unconverted Try.Near the end of the half Nenagh gave away a penalty resulting in a yellow card, 11 a piece at H.T. Nenagh took the lead twice in the second half just to have Bannon level it on both occasions.  Nenagh scored late to clinch it. Close game.
