With Baltic conditions and the wind blowing into their faces and time running out it looked as if it wasn’t going to be our day. Through a great break by Robbie Holmes from his own 22 m to the cookies 22 m set up the final few minutes of drama. The Bruff forwards rucked and mauled their way to the cookies try line for Sean Cregan to crash over to make the score 14 -13 to Young Munster. The drama was to continue with Ross O’ Brien May stepping up to take the convert. To every one on the side line this kick looked an easy kick. Not the normal place kicker Ross stepped up with great composure to slot the kick 15-14 to Bruff.
The last four minutes seemed to last forever but Bruff showed great character to see out the game and win. Well done to team and coaches on reaching the last 8 in the pan Munster. For the parents looking for something to do next Sunday it’s a trip to Waterford to take on Waterpark in the Pan Munster Quarter Final.
