Following on from the governments decision to go to increased levels this week, Bruff RFC Covid committee have discussed the current situation following the rapid increase in Covid 19 cases both nationally and locally, and within our local schools and parishes.
We as a club are unique in that our catchment area takes in a lot of parishes and localities that lie outside a 5km limit or even a 10km limit. While we realise that the lockdown will increase the strain on parents and children, and we take very seriously our responsibilities as an outlet for people to congregate in a safe and distanced manner, it is with heavy hearts that we have come to the decision that it is in the best interests of the health of all of our players, coaches and members that as a club that we stand down training at all levels including underage with immediate effect for the next 4 weeks. We intend to have a review of this decision on Monday 16th November.
We hope that this current national lockdown will allow for rugby in Bruff RFC to be able to take place again soon in a safe and responsible manner.
Please everyone take care and stay safe and we hope to see you all back in the club again as soon as possible.
