The u17’s played thomand last weds eve in kilballyowen. The teams were level on points coming into the game a win would secure a place in the league semi final.thomand got off to a much better start & controlled the game for most of 1st half which saw them 7 -0 up at the half way whistle.bruff came out in 2nd half with plenty of fight & soon leveled the score. It was nail biting stuff, the lead being exchanged several times with both sides popping over penalty kicks. To bruffs dismay with less then ten mins remaing thomand got over the line with their 2nd try &the game seemed to be slipping away from the home side but in true bruff style bruff kept battling hard and captain paul downes got the try &then converted to seal the win. Full time score 20-15. Scorers for bruff brian fanning try, paul downes a try, 2cons & 2pens. Well done to all.
