1st XV home to Clonmel in R3 of the Energia AIL Bruff RFC 14 Clonmel RFC 14
The seniors earned a hard fought points on a breezy Saturday afternoon at kilballyowen. We played into the wind in the first half and we dominated the early exchanges .The first20mins was very even with both sides not creating too many chances and with defenses on top we got our chance and Bruff took an early lead 7-0 after 20 minutes, try Kieran O Dwyer converted by Adam O Dwyer. Clonmel popped in for a try 30 min gone after a long period of defensive work done by Bruff 7-7 going into half time , after enduring some pressure from the away team we found ourselves inside the Clonmel 22 and after some excellent retention from the lads Kieran O Dwyer went in to score again another great convert from Adam O Dwyer. With 15mins to go Bruff were 14-7 and there was a hard fought battle for both sides for the next 10mins until Clonmel came in from the wing to score again which they converted. It ended on the day 14-14. Great effort from the team and well done to the coaches and management. Thanks to our supporters young and old who came over today to see the match.
