The Bruff V U.L. Bohemians match on friday night in the North Munster SeniorĀ Seconds League is called off due to ground conditions.
Bruff Seconds played Thomond last Friday night under lights in Kilballyowen.While Thomond won this game by 34pts to 8pts,they conceded the points after the game because they had started 12 of their senior players.Overall it was a good game and Thomond’s experiance was the difference as they capitalised on our own mistakes and had scored 3 tries before half time on turnover balls.Danny Keogh scored a try before half time and Marcus Mulvihill kicked a penalty to leave the score at 15pts -8pts at the break.Thomonds fitness was the difference when they got 3 more tries in the last 10 minutes of the game. Next game in this league is at home on friday 14th march against U.L. Bohemians.
Bruff Junior 1stĀ will play against Thomond,Old Crecent and U.L. Bohemians in the North Munster Senior Seconds Cup.This is played on a round robin format with the top two teams qualifying for the semi-finals.Bruff have to play Old Crecent away first and then have two home games against Thomond and U.L. Bohemians.Dates and times will be announced soon.Garryowen,Shannon,Young Munster and Nenagh contest the other group.
