Dunno how they managed to put it into Gaelic football section of the website but there y’are.

By the Way, The Referee for Next Saturdays “Local Derby” against th’auld enemy Nenagh Ormond is Mr. Declan Browne of the Munster Association of referees.  This looks like being a classical encounter between ourselves and our local rivals for many years. Kick off at 2:30 p.m. as far as I know, but proceedings will start a bit before that. Should be a grerat day out but we need all the support we can get, Dontcha know that Nenagh will come in droves for this encounter.

The lads made the trip to Donnybrook last Saturday with a healthy contingent of supporters and came away with another win and bonus point to put them into second place on the table, one point behind Instonians who have gained three bonus points and one point ahead of Queens. This is a great early run in the league and puts us into a far stronger position than this time last season.

Five tries as follows: Máirtín O’ Rourke (8 mins), John Shine (29 mins), John Shine (36 mins), Brendan Deady for the bonus (45 mins) and Finally Cathal O’ Regan for the killer (64 mins).

Scrum was on top form, Lineout was working well, Defence was awesome as usual (It looks like we are yet again looking like having the best defence in the AIL, only 17 points against us in three games only Young Munster in division two are matching that so far).

Good Games :

Relative newcomer Paul O’ Brien had a stormer with some very strong running and savage tackling. A major turning point with one instance early in the second half where he fielded a long punt, returned the favour into the opposition half, chased it up, made a savage tackle and blew the ball out of the Old Wesley centres hands thereby gaining a scrum for Bruff inside the Wesley Half instantly turning defence into a strong attacking position.

Máirtín was good in the tight great first try, Alan Bourke had a stormer as well, great lineout work and some very strong straight line running, coupled with some great breaks, Shiner was in top form with great lineout work, fantastic fringe running and carries coupled with two tries, Some savage running by the Cahills as usual, Tony with a couple of nice box kicks. Gearóid, Cathal and Davy were in mighty form in the scrum and the breakdown, Brendan was a tower of strength and safety at Full Back and a great try for the Bonus point, another Shaun Payne in the making here. Cathal in particular seemed to lead from the front, he seemed to be everywhere, involved in all of the tries including his own great run for the last.

All in all an awesome display, the difference this year seems to be a hunger to bury and kill off teams which we didn’t have for a while. Link to photos below, Be warned, if you don’t have broadband don’t go there! It’ll be as slow as Christmas, the photos are huge files.
