Our 18s made the journey to the back pitch of Thomond park on Sunday where Newcastle West in the 18 cup final this time has provided us with some excellent rugby all season but were up against a very good Newcastle West outfit, we got of to a good start and after winning a penalty we went to the corner after winning our line out we mauled over to take a 5-0 lead. We took a 10-3 lead in at half time and even though we had the greater possession we hadn’t shown it on the scoreboard. We scored again after half time to go 15-3 ahead but N/West replied with a drop goal to keep in touch at 15-6. Credit to Newcastle they continued to press but we managed to get the upper hand with a penalty try to go 22-6 ahead. Newcastle made it 22-11 with an excellent try of their own but we had the final score of the game to finish 29-11. Try scorers Darragh Browne Adam o Dwyer Patrick Lloyd Mark Fitzpatrick
