Last weekend was a very busy one on the playing front with our 20s out on Friday night against Old crescent, in what was a very entertaining an enjoyable encounter saw Bruff come out on top on a score 21-17 Bruff lead 14-5 at the break with try’s from Shea Donworth and Dylan o Leary Cresent replied wit a try before Bruff extended their lead to 21-10 Cresent scored once more before full time, this was an excellent win for Richie Mccauliffes charges who were missing some key players.
On Sunday saw us take on Mallow in the third round of the Munster junior cup Mallow who are having a fine season in Division 1 were hot favorites but huge credit to Ciaran o Callaghan and Tommy Carroll’s mix of 20s and some experienced mature heads, who pushed them all the way, with the crucial score being Mallows try before halftime, the lads never gave up and it was indeed a pity we were missing some quality players through injuries who may have taken us to the next round. But huge credit must go to management and players in acquitted themselves superbly. A big thanks also to Pauline Mccauliffe for first aid.
Our 18s went down narrowly in a very tight tense and entertaining game on a score of 7-0 to skibbereen .
And finally a big thanks to everyone for their cooperation on Sunday in what was a very very busy day at the club and a massive thanks to Mary Paul and her volunteers for feeding the masses all day.
Our lotto wasn’t won last Saturday and now stands at 1700€ as you can see from above a huge amount of work goes into the club to provide coaching and facilities across all ages, this comes at cost so we would appeal to all for just 2€ per week to show your support.
