On Tuesday 27th December the U16 were beaten in the North Munster league final 27-17 by Ennis. The Bruff team got off sluggish and nervous start. Ennis scored and converted a try after five minutes and added a penalty to make it 10-0. In the 25th minute Darragh Mc Namara powered over score 10-5. On 35th minute Ennis scored try number two, to make it 17-5. Bruff came fighting back on 40th minute scored a second try through Jack Barrett. The last Ennis score came in the 50th minute to make it Ennis 22-10. Credit to the Bruff boys who did not give up and Jack Barrett scored try number three to make it 22-17.
Bruff battled hard for the winning score but with time nearly up it was Ennis who scored and the game finished 27 -17. Well done to all the Bruff lads who battled hard and never gave up.
The Pan Munster competition commence on 8th January in Kilballyowen against Skibbereen RFC.
