The Bruff U18’s were away to Kanturk RFC on Saturday the 21st of January.
Kanturk kicked off the first half and Bruff immediately put themselves under pressure with mistakes and the inability to clear the ball. This led to the first try within minutes for Kanturk. The conversion hit the post and the score stayed at 5:0. This gave Bruff some incentive and they started to get some shape about their game. Through good forward play and good patience Bruff finally got over the line through Dave Barrett off the back of a scrum. Adam O’ Dwyer converted and the score stayed at 7:5 until half time.
With the benefit of the hill in the second half Bruff started to pull away scoring 5 tries by Shea Donworth, Pa Maher, Gerard Donworth, Michael Donovan and Dylan O’Leary. Adam O’Dwyer got 4 of the 6 conversions and the game finished 38:5.
This coming weekend the 29th January the Bruff U18s are at home to Skibbereen RFC in Kilballyowen. All support would be greatly appreciated for the game which kicks off at 12:30.
